For the rest of us, here is another tested and success stamped Pinterest meal. Like last week, I can not at all recall if there was a specific name, nor do I actually know where the pin is on my board. I've just made this enough now that it is cemented in my brain. Which is quite amazing since I have trouble remembering what day it is (even though the days of the week have been the same for at least the last 33 years) or if I've taken my meds. Therein may lie the problem.
I digress...
The Don Doritos Casserola
aka Thing1's favorite Internet Creation to Table Sensation.. to date
What you need:
1 Bag of Doritos
1 lb ground beef/hamburger
8oz of sour cream
1 bag of shredded cheese
(or about 2 cups if you shred it yourself)
1 can of Diced Tomatos
1 can of Tomato Sauce
1 package of Taco Seasonings
1 tube of Crescent Rolls (8 count)
What to do:
Preheat oven to 375
In a 9x13 baking dish lay out the crescent roll dough and pinch seams
Cook hamburger - drain
Add Taco seasoning, Tomato sauce and diced tomatoes into skillet
(I drain a bit of the liquid off the diced tomatoes) Allow to simmer for....uh...10 minutes or so
Pour taco meat and tomato mixture over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.
Add the sour cream next and spread evenly as possible
Dump your cheese in spreading it as well
Roughly crumble Dortios and cover the top of the cheese
Bake for 30 mins at 375
Allow to cool for a few minutes. It helps the casserole "set up" and is easier to serve.
VIOLA!

Vodka?! Lmfao. Don't recall seeing vodka in there, but my attention is captured. ~B2
Might have to tell the DW about this one. The boy loves Doritos.
This looks good. You should see some of my Pinterest fails.
I'm glad to hear that this turned out well I've been seeing it pinned over and over and I just wasn't sure about it. I'll have to give it a try now.
Sounds like the best idea since sliced bread. Doritos should be a part of every meal.
My experience with Pinterest recipes has been hit or miss. I make something similar to this with tortilla chips so I might have to give this one a whirl!
definitely the perfect super bowl meal! I'll try it this weekend and let you know how it goes :)
That does look good. I had to post a recipe for Jana last week on my blog.. sooo easy even she could make it lol..
That sounds pretty darn tasty! We make a doritos casserole too but it is all creamy with different types of "cream of" soups. This one my stomach might like better! I am pinning it!
You and doritos can't go wrong!
