Dali Decals - Giveaway & Review

I LOVE vinyl wall art! Aside from paint, I think it is THE BEST way to change up a room (or many rooms) often and within budget. Dali Decals is a very affordable option for decorating and adding to a room that last touch that finishes it off beautifully.

And don't think you're restricted to a room. These can be applied to your front door, your washer or dryer, a mirror...just about anywhere you are creative enough to place one don't limit yourself to wall art. Choose your favorite quote for above the bed or decide on an entire wall mural! The options are vast.

You need not be a professional to install. You don't need to be an octopus with arms growing everywhere either. If I can do it without messing it up, I assure you can as well! When your design arrives, I have found its best to lay it flat. We piled books on ours and left it for 24 hours to make sure the design did not curl on us while trying to put it up.

Then you are ready to get decorating! Dali Decals provides a tester decal so you can try out the application process before tackling your actual project. Here is the blank wall before. Lil Duck's room just needed a little something extra don'tcha think?
Here Lil Duck is offering some extra help in applying the design. The one we chose came in two sections.

All orders come with step by step instructions along with tips and tricks for installation. If you are a visual person and need to SEE it done, you also have the option of going to the website and watching helpful videos on installation. Be sure to take your time while putting your design up. If you have to run to soccer in 20 minutes, you probably don't have enough time. When I finally pulled the last of the backing off the design, Lil Duck stood back and exclaimed "Oh WOW!"

And I have to agree. We just LOVE the way it turned out! The photo doesn't do it justice for it makes all the difference in her room. It feels complete now. This stuff is SO addictive. I'm already eyeballing walls in the kitchen and living room.

The folks at Dali Decals are incredibly generous. They are offering one winner $25 towards a purchase of their own! There are so many awesome options that are continually being added to and updated. New fonts, new colors and new designs are added often. You can keep up with all of that by following along on the Facebook Page and you'll even find them on Twitter. If you're not wanting to wait until the giveaway ends to start your decorating, you can use the following code for 5% off your purchase! CODE: Crazy5off

Udi's Artisan Granola, Gluten Free - review

Udi's Artisan Granola is not just for you berry and twig eaters! Throw out all preconceived notions of gluten free, naturally made healthy food. Now in that space, feast your mouth on Udi's. Really!

The people at Udi's Artisan Granola are obsessed with perfection and the perfect combination of flavors to burst on your tastebuds. Toasted and turned by hand in small batches, they take care to use pure wholesome ingredients. The pride they take in turning out perfection in a bag is absolutely our benefit!

I thought my favorite of the flavors I was provided for review was the Cranberry until I tried the Vanilla. It is for sure a dead tie between the two. I've taken to mixing them together now. My favorite is to add a serving to a bowl of yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast. Of course there are multiple ways to add granola into your life if you aren't using it already. Use the Cranberry in substitute of your boring cereal choice now. Add the Vanilla to peaches and blueberries for an awesome summer dessert. It makes for a fabulous snack on it its own and a wonderful flavor addition if you're needing gluten free options in your diet!

Find where you can buy it locally

You can also buy the Vanilla, Cranberry, Original and AuNaturale directly from Udi's website. It runs a very affordable $5.99 each for a 13oz bag.

Keep in touch with new offers and resources by Liking Udi's Gluten Free food Facebook page or follow on Twitter.

A Bunch of Numbers & Stuff

I'm doing my best to carve out some time to READ the way I use to love. A voracious appetitie for books, I equally love the blog world but simply haven't put READING (in any form) in the top half of my priority list. Third Eye....Blind

I've posted about ink here before. I like tattoos, am a fan of good quality ink, and always love hearing the stories behind what people choose to brand themselves with. However I do believe that some people should just have the tar beat out of them for being stupid.

I risked my life waiting to snap this and was rewarded with the hairy stank eye....from all three of his... If you're going to permanently mark yourself as the side freak show to the circus you HAVE to expect people to stare and take pictures. My camera didn't steal his soul. I'm not entirely positive he had one.

Happy HumpDay Quackers!

Behold! The Power of the Duck

Its no secret Lil Duck cracks me sideways and that I love sharing her hysterics here! So when we ventured out for a walk the other night, I took note. Always an adventure with this kid, this night was no exception.
She expertly assembled her walking outfit choosing her Cinderella dress, matching heels, necklace, lip gloss and of course the blue stroller for her babies. First up was her extreme warning of caution.

"MOM! WATCH OUT!!!! Those corn pones will trip you. They are everywhere!"

Ummm...corn pones? WTH?

Ahhh...yes...corn pones....also known as pine cones. The conversation continued like this, " mean pine cones?"

"sighs exasperated....YES! That's what I said mom {hand on hip} PINE CONES! They are everywhere..."

A bit later we crossed paths with the neighborhood brat. I do not like this little girl. Some kids are just like that. They are rude to your child, make rude statements about your child and just all around an ass. Interestingly enough I don't care for her mother either. (that's a whole side story in itself). So this little girl, we'll call her K.... asks Lil Duck...

K... Do you know my cousin's name?

Lil Duck: No

K...He's a boy.

Lil Duck: His name is Boy?

K...nooooo he is a boy.

Lil Duck: Why did they name him Boy? Who names a kid Boy?

K....Noooooo! His name isn't Boy he IS a boy.

Lil Duck: {rolling her eyes} I know. Look at that pretty bird down there!

K....Do you know what rabies means?

Lil Duck: We have babies in our yard. They are bunnies.

K...No. Rabies.

Lil Duck: yep...babies.

K... Nooooooooo! Rabies! It can kill you.

Lil Duck: Uh huh....yep. Wait! What? Baby rabbits can kill you?!

K....RABIES!.....{stalks off}

And yes...I did sit and take notes of their exchange while I was giggling as Lil Duck at 3 1/2 managed to aggravate her 7 year old brat counterpart while making said girl sound stupid. That's my girl!

That's just some random blonde from Google.

10 Ways to Change Your Life

Once again, I felt this spoke so loudly and had something that just about everyone can take from this that I wanted to share. Even if life is where you want it, every day is a chance to grow, to become, to sharpen and increase your measure of joy. From the amazing couple that publishes Marc and Angel Hack Life, I share with you, 10 Ways to Change Your Life at Any Age...

Things can change if you want them to, at any age.  As I awoke this morning, I marveled at my life today.  Where once I woke with dread at the thought of a new day, now I wake with excitement to begin – grateful to be doing what I’m doing for a living.  I am so happy I did what I had to do, and struggled through the tough times and the fears, and realigned my life with the things that make me happy.  When friends ask me how I did it, as they sometimes do, I tell them, “Hard work and persistence.  It’s a small price to pay for a changed life.”
Here are ten things you can do to change your life at any age:
  1. Subtract the wrong things. – When things aren’t adding up in your life, it’s time to start subtracting.  Sometimes you must let go to grow.  You cannot discover new oceans unless you build up enough courage to lose sight of the old, familiar shoreline.  Be brave.  Follow your values.  Make changes.  And remember, no venture is ever a waste of time.  The ones that don’t work out teach you lessons that prepare you for the ones that do.  Read A New Earth.
  2. Believe you CAN. – The biggest obstacle that stops people from achieving their dreams is the feeling that they are not good enough.  Don’t be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality.  You are good enough!  Don’t let life discourage you.  Success is often closer than it seems.  With enough determination and drive, anything is possible in time.  Everyone who got to where they are had to begin from where they were, just like you.
  3. Work hard for what you want most. – Dreams don’t just magically become realities; it takes a lot of determination, sweat, and hard work.  Remember, tough circumstances don’t last; tough people do.  Most obstacles melt away when we make up our minds to march boldly through them.  If you have a strong commitment to your goals and dreams, and wake up every morning with passion to work toward them, anything is possible.
  4. Stand up for yourself. – You can’t force people to show you respect, but you can refuse to be disrespected.  If you always back down to keep the peace, you will forever be armed with anger and self-loathing, and fighting a war within.  Say what you need to say, do what you need to do, and don’t let anyone bully you into a corner.
  5. Let go of the past. – Don’t stumble on something behind you.  Don’t let your shadow guide you. You are not a slave to your past. Let it go and move on.  Dream and give yourself permission to envision a ‘YOU’ that you choose to be – that you know you CAN be.  Read The Language of Letting Go.
  6. End hurtful relationships. – Just because you have a past with someone, doesn’t mean you should have a future with them.  Just because you miss someone, doesn’t mean you need them back in your life.  Sometimes missing them is just a healthy part of moving on.
  7. Be thankful for what you have. – It’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy.  Even when times are tough, think of all the beauty still around you, and smile.  Life is too short to have a victim mentality.  Say to yourself, “I am not going to be bitter, I am going to be better.”
  8. Dedicate some time every day to loving yourself. – Only when we can sit alone quietly and look with honest eyes at our strengths and our weaknesses, our failures and our triumphs, our humanness and our moral strength, and love ourselves in spite of, and because of all that we are, will we begin to truly understand the meaning and power of unconditional love.  Read The Mastery of Love.
  9. Keep learning and embracing life’s changes. – The seeds of your success are planted in your past failures.  Your best stories will come from overcoming your greatest struggles.  Your praises will be birthed from your pains.  Keep standing and keep pushing forward.  Even the coldest winters eventually turn into springtime.  Seasons always change.
  10. Enjoy where you are now. – Sometimes we’re so busy watching out for what’s just ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are.  Laugh at the confusion, live consciously in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds.  You might not be exactly where you had intended to go, but you are precisely where you need to be.

ShopYourWay Personal Shopper!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ShopYourWay Program for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love shopping but I'm not always sure if what I like will actually look good. If my best opinion givers can't join me, what other options do I have? I joined ShopYourWay's Personal Shopper program recently, and now I can save my likes and get opinions before buying! SWEET!

To get started, you simply Request an Invite to ShopYourWay. It's got to be easy and quick because if you're like me, you just don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of some new program. This is both easy and quick. Invite your friends to shop along with you. (because at least two opinions are better than mine) Browse through catalogs, create wishlists, and even suggest merchandise for your friends to buy (or hint strongly at what they can buy YOU). The best part is, when your friends sign up and make a qualifying purchase-you get a paid for their splurges! (or underwear, they may be practical).

You can earn a check as often as once per month, provided you've earned at least $20. Invite everyone you know and have a killer shopping party! Sounds fun, right?!

I've already spent way more time than I should have browsing through shoes, clothes, electronics, cosmetics, and furniture. You'll find something for every area of your life! I now have wish lists so should someone need a gift idea...ahem...There is also an option for lists of items you've already purchased. Maybe you have a strong opinion about that tanktop? Comment and let your friends and invites know to steer clear or that they HAVE to have it (in a different color of course).

Then there are the reward options. If you have a SEARS Card (or get one), you can earn points shopping just by shopping! Make purchases through ShopYourWay and earn at least 10 points for each dollar you spend in-store or online at Sears, Kmart, Lands' End, the great indoors and Redeem as many Points as you like at checkout, saving you money on your purchases instantly. A good deal is hard to resist!

Love good deals, rewards for something you already love and that your friends can get in on and help with? A total score! Check it out. Its fast, easy, free and FUN!

Sadomasochist Religious Zealot

So maybe zealot is a strong word. No? I've been on the road a decent amount lately as I've transitioned to contract work which takes me all over the city and sometimes a state away. Yesterday I happened to be stuck behind see a vanity plate on a brand spanking new top of the line Lexus SUV. This one. Probably not THIS exact one but one just like it. Nice, eh? And no doubt it was some...ahem...perceived extension to its male driver.

Nice to the tune of $80,093msrp SO where do religion and sadomasochist come into play? No, Christian Grey was not driving this...I hear he likes Audi's. The license plate on it however was a vanity plate. Surprised?

It read: HMBL ME

Yes, Humble Me. I don't know about you but life has definitely slapped me in the face, upside the head, cracked me across the ass, socked me in the gut, sucker punched me with brass knuckles and cold cocked me more than enough times for me to know better than to ASK for it.

Granted we all need moments to recenter us sometimes; to remind us what in life we should really be sweating and fretting over. That I freely admit and welcome the refocus. For without it I wouldn't nearly appreciate to the depth I do the blessings I have. But again...I wouldn't go around INVITING life to gut bust me. And definitely NOT while on the road in traffic! Do they not know who shares the road with them crazy people like me?!

Now maybe if I was driving that I would feel a measure of safety in such a dare. Being cushioned by $80,093 I should think would feel quite plush. Does anyone else see the irony in this?

A Million Dollars

"If I had a million dollars I'd build a tree fort in our yard....maybe we could put a little tiny fridge in there somewhere; we could just go up there and hang out...."
~Barenaked Ladies, If I Had A Million Dollars

Actually its only $1000 and its pretend money. In my experience people tend to get a little fussy if you offer them Monopoly money in lieu of that green stuff though. I will try to conceal my disappointment that today's Listicles is a pretend $1000. What would I do if I had $1000 to spend?

1. I would get a full body massage...a really good one (like the hour and a half kind)...with Moscato and mood lighting and a happy ending. Although I would probably just have to stick the money in Irishman's wallet. He'd never take it.

2. I would buy some clothes that fit (and SHOES). A shopping spree where it matters not if its on sale or practical.

3. I really do think I'd do the whole treehouse thing. Those are SO DENG cool! But it would be an adults only house. No boogerlickers, pre pubescent smelly kids or animals allowed. Period. And it would be sound proof.

4. I would go to Ohio. Yes. Ohio.

5. Bling...why not blow the whole thing on bling? I'm really fond of this. Maybe if I wore it on my Mr. Tallman I wouldn't be as tempted to throw that finger around. It would be so un feng shui, ya know?

Or This...

6. Ummm....a down payment on lipo? (this is harder than I thought. I'm not very creative when it comes to free money. I'd probably honestly just save it! SOOOOOO LAME! Or spend it on others. THAT'S MUCH more appealing! Gift giving is awesome!) Although the fat would probably just redistribute somewhere else and I'd be known as the Duck with a third ass bump in the middle of her back. SO NOT cool!

7. I would use it to develop a Karma app for my iPhone. I might settle for a taser app or some combination of the two. I would only need the money for the development as testing it, I would certainly do for free.

8. I want a Kindle Fire....yeah...I know I am way behind the times. If you'll remember I didn't even switch over from my BlackBerry to iPhone until nearly a year ago. *hangs head in shame*

9. Lil Duck would have an AHHHHMAzing birthday party this year

10.a picture is worth a thousand words (<--heh, I'm so punny)

PB Crave - Giveaway & Review

It should come as no surprise that I have yet another amazing natural product to share with you (and give away!). If I've mentioned it once, I've mentioned one hundred times that these days the Batcrap Crazy family is striving for a healthier more natural lifestyle whenever possible.

Enter PB Crave! Believe me, you will thank me for introducing this to you. Lil Duck hasn't eaten regular peanut butter in nearly a year. I shared with her some Nutella and that was that. I convinced her to try one little spoonful of the Choco Choco and it was all over from there. That's all she asks for and truthfully I wish I'd given her a taste of one of the other flavors which includes Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Nookie, or the Coco Banana because the Choco Choco is MY favorite!

By the spoonful right out of the jar baby! MMMM MMMM Goooooood

I was briefly tempted to allow the jars to make an appearance at Thing1's 13th Birthday party sleep over this weekend just to get a take on their favorites. Ummm....have you SEEN 13 year old boys eat? I quickly swiped that idea I'm too selfish anyway. They would've loved them all, I'm sure!

Product highlights you should take note of include the peanut butter being all natural made with US grown peanuts, no hydrogenated oil, cholesterol free, no trans fats, gluten free, no refrigeration required, no added sugar (which was especially important to me given that whole Diabetes thing), no high fructose corn syrup and great for baking (HELLO PINTEREST!)

Zipz Shoes - Giveaway & Review

First and foremost, do NOT make yourself look like the window licker I did. The shoe boxes for these incredibly amazing Zipz shoes list the size in unisex based on men's sizes. A size 5 is really the 7 that you ordered (if you're a woman). ...sigh... I wonder how many times a day customer service has to set window lickers like me straight?

Now...on to the awesomeness that encases my feet! Check these babies out! Wicked cool and very unique, they are right up my alley. I love shoes and I adore unique products! These shoes come in low top (like I ordered), hightops and slides. One shoe base with MULTIPLE top options. Innovative, unique and just down right tubular! (do people still use that word?) Invented in California and designed in the US these are truly one of a kind. The Zipz tops are fully removable and interchangeable with any same size Zipz SOULS. Match the cover to your mood, attitude or groove! Coming in both toddler and youth sizes as well as adult sizes, there is a style for everyone in the whole family. A few that I am totally loving

Talk about total foot-gasms! I adore wearing my Zipz. Not only are they comfortable but they get a LOT of attention. A total win win in my book!!
