They Hung Willie #iPPP

I was absent for a bit...away from my blog home for a longer stretch of time than usual. Lil Duck and I moved. Have you ever moved? Mercy, Lord! I detest it almost more than public bathroom usage....that is serious business!

I packed up my home and the two of us left a house...

... and followed our home to its new destination...

Where five now make a home.

THE INVASION

We hung tights...

They hung Willie.

We brought the castle...

They provided Royal Transportation like the gentlemen they are.

The boy parts outnumbered the girl parts so we added Daisy Mae to our clan...

A girl pow-wow...Zena, Daisey Mae, Me and Lil Duck...strategizing

Rose rounds out our 4 girls to the 5 guys....two male cats, Irishman, Thing 1 and Thing 2. Still not too sure how I feel about a HUGE SPIDER being on our team. Knowing that Irishman would throw child or Granny in front of him while retreating from a spider? Yeah....sorta makes it worth my skin crawling...

LOVE IS A BATTLE FIELD!

A tarantula? That would be cool but I'd be so afraid I would kill it from not caring for it right. Moving is so hard. One year, we moved about 4 times. The best thing about it was that I got so lean with our stuff. Moving makes you clean out the cr@p. We did it with our attic this fall. Trips to the dump, Goodwill and the clothes closets in town. I sort of feel like we moved too. Glad you are settled in for the holidays.

Congrats on the move. I hear ya about the boy parts outnumbering the girl parts.. which is why all of my animals are female except the cat. He stays outside cause it is bad enough that I have boys all over my counters and peeing in the shower already without adding him to the mix.. enjoy the holidays.

I was with you. Smiling the whole way. I was all like, "I love moving! It's such an adventure! I love Ducky and all of her posts! She's so witty!"

and then you made me freak the eff out with that last poicture and now I am mad at you. I will get over it. But it might take a minute. :'(

After our last move to Canada almost five years ago (and quite a few moves in the years before that) I said I'm never moving again...
Now I find myself wanting to move into a new house, because I actually like when things "change" - I would take my husband with me though ;)
Good luck for you and the Irishman, sounds like a winner!

Oh girl I'm so not a spider fan! I'm so out #'d here. I'm thinking I would add another female pet but that always means more work for me :(.

I'm so glad everything is working out so perfect!!

I'm glad you got moved in! You were kind of worrying me during the packing process. My older brother had a tarantula for, like, 8 years. It was part of the family (which was okay, since it lived in an aquarium, most of the time). Glad your house is now pretty much balanced!

I was reading along with a smile, that got bigger with Daisey Mae, and even bigger with Daisey Mae and Zena, and then simply disappeared that that freaking huge spider!!!! Kidding. Sort of. Not really. But the dog and kitten are adorable, really! Congrats on the move!

Have you just not unpacked all your shoes yet? Becuase you have a huge spider there that needs to meet one of 'em.
