Happiness Project Week 2
I’m just going to put it out there, judgments be damned. I am a co-sleeping parent. Hasn’t always been that way but the last 10 months life isn’t what I planned it to be and you surf or drown. Ducks don’t drown….justsayin. I have my list of
So having explained all that, it made me chuckle this morning when changing the sheets and first I had to remove a cow, a horse, a giraffe, a deer, a duck and a white plastic plate. I just sleep with a bank of pillows but she has a whole cotton picken barn.

Okay, I admit it, I've been sleeping with my 4 year old daughter since she was old enough to get out of her crib. I too love the cuddle time and I don't want to miss a moment of time with her while she is little. They grow up so fast and I know Dr. Phil would have a freak if he knew.
Adorbs. The Girl asks me to lay in bed with her for a few minutes every night when I tuck her into bed. Never The Wife; always me. And we giggle and count, usually to "forty-fivety" "minutes." The rate of counting changes nightly. Since the crash 4 weeks ago, I haven't been in any condition to lie down with her. It's been so hard on both of us. Now that I'm getting better, I can lie down in her bed with her for a few minutes each night again. It's relaxing.
My little girl loves to sleep with so many of her stuffed animals. Lol it is like a zoo. My sons started out with special blankets and now have to have stuffed animals with their blankets.
We have never co slpet because I was so sure from the beginning I didn't want a four year old in my bed, I didn't want to have our kid interfere in our sex life. Even when he was a newborn we would take naps together and sometimes I would just let him lay with me but he really liked being in his own crib and has been in his own room since about three months old lol. He's a different sort! Now I just want him to want to snuzzle and snuggle and he refuses! So enjoy your barn while you can! I won't judge lol
That is just too cute for words.
Grab the snuggles when you can. Trust me, when they're 31, they won't snuggle anymore,, you'll miss it... so grab em now.. store em up.. and pull em out of the memory bank in 30 years.. it's a nice memory..
And I bet you wouldn't have it any other way! I love when my babies want to be a snuggle bunny but those days are so far and few between anymore...soak it up! :)
No judgement here....I'm such a wuss...when I don't stay at MG's house I have to put pillows on his side of the bed! I know! I know! Don't be ashamed luv! it's ok, you snuggle that little one....
you've been through a lot....
it's ok.
*hugs*
not by choice, but you know my situation. He's the thing, I wouldn't mind if my hubby was sleeping elsewhere, then Jacob and I could spread out and sleep, but since I married the hubby and the boy should be with the twin in his bed, I want them out....but I find that when he does find his way to my bed...and I smell his little sweet head and his hand comes up and touches my face as he falls asleep..well I think about tellig Hubby to sleep on the couch. LOL
It sounds like y'all have fun! Great Mother/daughter time!!
Can't say the co-sleeping deal would have worked for me, but hey, if both of you are sleeping well and happy with the arrangement, that's what matters, right?
=)
A Lesson in Happiness
Ya know what who the heck cares why you do it. You love it she loves it and when she grows tired of it she will tell you, trust me. Make the most of those moments.. I don't like sleeping alone either..
Kenna slept with me quite a bit when it was just the two of us. It worked for us. No one can say what works for one works for all. Enjoy those giggles and snuggles!
Snuggle all you can, you will never regret it, but you will miss it one day.
I say what ever is working for you is ok.
I say that's awesome! Get all the love you can while she's still willingly to give it.
haha! my puppies like to bring all their toys to bed, too. there's barely any room left for ME.
That is so precious and amusing. Talk about being a "co-sleeper"!

My 4 yr old crawls into my bed every night. And now Im so used to it I dont even wake up when he crawls in. Hubs wants to boot him out, but I like the extra snuggle time!
Hi Duck, we are also co-sleeping. We could resolve it. I know how to do it. But I don't. We like it, he likes it...I've just decided to enjoy it. Once he gets hair on his legs, he's out, though. That's the rule.
I know your real reason for sharing the bed with her. A never ending supply of blog stories. LOL
I'd never judge you!
As long as you don't judge me for having a stuffed sheep, a rabbit, a dog, a unicorn, a panda, and a cat behind the pillows of our bed.
Yeah they are mine. I have no kids. I also have no shame. :)
Too cute - the barn is hilarious. But are there ducks there, too?
The plate is Over the Top, tho. :P I'd probably roll over and crush it! Ow!
I feel you on this one. Been sleeping with my tot since my "issue". I mostly enjoy it!
